Broken (Doll) Face Makeup Tutorial

I don’t remember when I liked Halloween for the first time. I’m always hilarious to see it is celebrated in many countries. Horror movies are my to-watch-list as for the way I celebrate Halloween despite the fact that not every year. But now I’m really into beauty world, for seeing so many ladies painted their face into wonderful characters I’ve never seen before, and take care of their skin very well. Therefore, I think I found what I finally like as a woman XD Well, I’m known for my masculi-feminity appeareance (wtf I made my own compound word lol). This time, I wanted to try to make a (fail) figure.

I have to admit that it was kinda fail because I did it right before I went bed, and actually it wasn't dolly at all (more vampy, i think). I didn’t have much spare time on week days but to sleep! XD

How to do:
  1. Bare face plus moisturizer. You may add it with primer or makeup base first.
  2. Apply foundation which may brighter than your face skin and make it flawless (i use light beige) and concealer, then cover it with your favorite powder. Translucent powder is the greatest choice.
  3. Apply blue shimmer eyeshadow (or any color you want, could be matte)
  4. Apply purple matte eyehadow on the edge (or any color you want)
  5. Use kajal eyeliner on waterline, and liptint. Bloody red lipstick would work well with the look.
  6. Red softlenses! (I don't know why the color didn't come out here. I swear that was red!)
  7. Wear some accessories.
  8. Rock 'n roll Xp

Ehm, let the story begin..

Once there was a doll who was loved by her master so much. The master has given her a name. It’s Catrina. She’s not as blushed as another dolls’ cheeks had, not as shiny as their eyes had. But as the master did, Catrina also would like to give her life, if only she could, for she was just a doll. They had tea party with other dolls and played with the master’s friends a whole day. Wherever and whatever the master did, Catrina was always in her arms.

I know it is no dolly T_T

As years passed, the master has grown up into a fair lady. She didn’t play toys anymore. Catrina felt like her heart was torn to see this happened. She was left in the dusty attic, and began to be broken. Today, she is still looking for another person who wants to take care of her, and willing to take someone and soul for living eternal with any new master, forever..

In this one and above this photo wore no lens

Outing Class at Museum Purna Bhakti Pertiwi

Ahoy~!

I have been busy lately for college. The assignments were on my top priority, rather than arranging financial statement at office when it’s actually too late to be done and managing my online store. You know la, this has priority over that and that can be done sometime instead of this.. XD Once I ever tried to write every things I should have done long time ago randomly and BAM! There is too much I have missed and forgotten! Therefore, I’m trying to do the time-and-motion-study to get in the right way.

Just entering mid semester and I’m going to face some exams. Padahal waktu pertama masuk kelas, saya pikir masih lama waktunya. And I was still be able to trifle with it. Sekarang saya tau bagaimana rasanya baru kuliah sambil kerja. Rempong ya bo.. (Eh, repot maksudnya :P) But I didn’t mean to ignore at all since it has been my consequence of various priority activities.

Okeh, enough blabberingnya~ Jadi begini ceritanya.. I had an outing class before mid-test 3 days ago. Not all my classmates were there because we had to gather at college at 7 o’clock and some of them weren’t allowed to go out at work days so yeah ~_~

We went to Purna Bhakti Pertiwi Museum by bus. That day was really a scorcher and the sunbeam hurt my skin ._. Purna Bhakti Pertiwi Museum is a history museum with modern building about the life of Soeharto, Indonesia’s former second president. It was built on the initiative of Madame Tien Soeharto, the wife of Soeharto. On August 23 1993, it was inaugurated by former president Soeharto. It is designed like the shape of tumpeng, a traditional Javanese cone-shaped rice, symbol of gratitude.

Purna Bhakti Pertiwi Museum is very large, consists of 13.000 collections spread in Struggle Hall, Main Hall, Special Hall, Arthabrata Hall and Library. It also has the second floor which displays another historical artwork collection.  I couldn’t explore all of the parts since the museum is huge and I may get lost and I have my own plate to do an observation task. The students are divided into groups and I was in the 12th group. I met new friends from the morning class which most of them were younger than me, I think. Our task was to observe the Batik collection. It is located on the second floor which there was also another kinds of fabric for Kimono from Japan, Hanbok from Korea, Tenun from Indonesia and so on. During the observation, I just knew there were many kinds of Batik. They come from many regions and they are made with meaningful motives. We're not allowed to take many pictures of artworks so i had to do the snapshots silently :3

After observed, we had to answer the questions we were given before and made it as a speech that someone from our group would do it. The best speaker would like to receive any prize! Unfortunately, we didn’t make it XD Bu it wasn’t a matter since we have worked together (and talked a lot) very well. Finally, we finished the class, took some pictures, had lunch together, went back to college, then I went home after bought two lasagnas for IDR 26.000 (yes, promo price!) at Seven Eleven :3

Questions!
Me (the second from left), my classmates and some girl friends from the morning class.

We didn’t do much that day but it was tiring and fun! I've learnt some of Indonesia's heritage. You must come and see the museum (especially the crystal *_*) Tell me, how was your first outing class?

What Is Halloween?

Do you know what's going on October the 31st?

Do you have any idea to tell what will you do this month?

HALLOWEEN. Yeah, that's it! Myths, traditions, and parties will happen at the day.
Mostly people who lives in USA celebrate it. It is a tradition that is always celebrated at night :3 I heard there are a lot of things they'd like to do. Children wear costumes and come to their neighborhood and ask for sweets (or sometimes money) by saying "Trick or treat!" which is kind of threat :3  The word "trick" refers to "threat" to perform mischief on the homeowners or their property if no treat is given. People who they asked have to give treats or they would like to decorate their tree with toilet tissues :p Eh, will it still happen?

While children have fun with the sweets-hunting, adults wear costume as well. They visit spooky places and haunted attractions, light the bonfires or fireworks, play pranks, tell some scary stories, watch horror films or attend a costume party.

Halloween is also called All Hallows Eve, All Saints' Eve, Samhain, Noche de las Brujas (The Night of Witches). According to Wikipedia, the word halloween comes from a Scottish term for All Hallow's Eve in about 1745. In Scots, the word 'eve' is 'even' (In Bahasa Indonesia: petang/malam.), and it's contracted to e'en or een. Over time, (All) Hallow(s) E(v)en evolved into Halloween.

History of Halloween
It comes from Samhain Festival from the Old Irish language Samhain  (Pronunced /ˈsɑːwɪn/, /ˈsaʊ.ɪn/, or /ˈsaʊn/) which is celebrated by ancient Celtic people. Samhain is a celebration the end of the harvest season in culture of Gaelic people, and sometimes it's called the Celtic New Year. The Celtic people who embraced paganism used this opportunity to slaugther cattle and hoard food in preparation for winter in generations. The ancient Gael people believed that on October the 31st the gate of between the dead world and the living world would be opened. The dead endanger people living with carry disease and damage the harvests. Therefore, they lit a bonfire to burn bones of animals they are harmstrung, wearing costumes and masks to pretend as evil spirits or to attempt peace with them.

Have you ever seen a pink ghost? LOL

I would like to have this ice-scream!!

Symbols of Halloween
One of them is pumpkin which is carved into a scary face that named Jack-o'-Lantern. A candle is put inside the pumpkin so the face of Jack-o'-lantern can be seen very spooky in dark places. Why pumpkin?  FYI, North America produces many large pumpkins J

Halloween bento! :D

Another symbols describe the nature of autumn, including pumpkin and scarecrow as a guard yield. In addition, the symbols Halloween is also close to death, magic, monsters, and creepy characters the American film maker and graphic designer made. These characters are often associated with Halloween: pumpkin man, outer space creatures, witch, bats, owls, crows, vultures, haunted house
, black cat, spiders, goblins, zombies (my favorite!:D) skeletons and werewolves.

I love black cat. It's cute.
The classic horror movie and gothic literature characters like Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, and the mummy also used as costumes for Halloween. There are also some colors associated with Halloween items like black, orange, purple, green and red.

Okay, this is important. Frankenstein is the person who created the monster. NOT the monster's name!

That is western. How about the far east culture?
In east culture,Halloween isn’t a big national celebration since it’s not our tradition. But I think there are always some events for fun like a haunted mansion somewhere at shopping centre or mall, costume party at clubs (it may be nightclubs), restaurant and café are revamp with spooky theme. Usually, horror movies are popular. Many teens and adults watch movie together at the cinema, or they would like to buy some DVDs and watch them at the home base.

Sad but true, I haven’t visited such a spooky event yet! I even missed Resident Evil Jakarta at Gajah Mada Plaza last month. Aarggghhhh…!! T-T

I missed it T.T
That’s what I see here. By the way, please let me know if there’s any Halloween event in Jakarta. I don’t  wanna miss it this year, or I would celebrate it with my own way ALONE >_< So, how do you celebrate Halloween in your country?

Happy 20th Birthday

Guess what?
I have turned 20 :)
Well, there ain't much special things but seeing myself still healthy and alive are such a greatest gift i could never find anywhere.

I just did everything as usual: working, studying, doing homework.. And i had dinner with my boyfriend! :-)

My favorite dinner! Seems yummy, huh? :3

Wait! No our real pictures since we were already tired enough, and starving (/*o*)/ He did give me lovely presents. Not gonna tell ya what they are, teeheee :-P

Guess what's inside! :3

The only difference on my 20th birthday than before was on the family custom. Usually one of us buys a cake and makes special dinner if someone is having birthday anniversary. But no, unfortunately not this year. I always come home pretty late at night when my mom has fallen asleep, and my brother wakes up very early to go school when i still sleep.

It sounds busy, doesn't it? But you know la, the people in reality aren't as overacted as on drama on tv lol~ Mom understands my condition, my boyfriend can bear with it, and my dad worries me a lot even though her daughter is 20 now omg X'D

After the day, my mom bought donuts and i chose the purple one as my breakfast!

Nomnomnomnomnom (o ^3^)o
My dad also bought me shoes, i chose'em or he would give me black plastic boots =="

Oops, i didn't mean to show the label i'm sorry! >_<

I thank all of you who have remembered the day.
How is your 20th birthday?
