BB Cream has always been my makeup routine since I started
to be a frequent user of Korean beauty product two years ago. As you may have
known before, I have a very bad greasy face but not with the body, and it is
kinda desperate to find the ones which can hold the excess sebum for at least
four to five hours without retouch, because I am too lazy to put makeup things
in my bag lol. Talking about this BB Cream, you may find many (beauty) bloggers
had reviewed it. It is the most well-known BB Cream in Asia.
Etude House Precious Mineral Cotton Fit BB Cream (let’s just
make it Etude Cotton Fit for short) is the updated version of Etude Bright Fit,
or you can say its sister. It is formulated with pearl extract which it claims
to help to brighten your skin and cotton veil powder to cover the blemishes
smoothly, giving your skin with a flawless texture. Etude Cotton Fit contains
SPF 30 / PA ++. It also claims the function of whitening, anti-wrinkle and
anti-darkening.
Etude Cotton Fit has a simple yet classy package. It comes
with a soft white tube with capacity of 60 grams of product and metallic purple
pump with the cap in the same color. This is a great point because pump means
more hygienic to me. Be careful when pumping the bottle! Just do it slowly and
the BB Cream will come out very easily.

Besides W13 Natural Beige, there are another two shades
available: Light Beige (N02) as for the lightest and Honey Beige (W24) for the
darkest. Natural beige is the best choice because neither I want to be so
“white” nor looked “tan”. In fact, it matches well with my yellow-toned skin.
Etude Cotton Fit can blend with your skin color without making it like a fake
mask. Well, if only you don’t apply too much :3
The cream texture is not runny, not too thick, but will not
be heavy on your skin. It also has a slight floral fragrance.
What makes me smile is the coverage. Etude Cotton Fit gives
a medium coverage only in one layer. If you have large area of acne scars to
hide, just dab it softly 2-3 layers. I think it should be enough. And then you,
who are insomnians… XD When you are too lazy to put some eye concealer, Etude
Cotton Fit can be the alternative.
Etude Cotton Fit results a matte finishing and holds my oily
face (especially T-Zone) for 4 hours with primer. And you know, once your face
starts to be greasy, it will turn to a dewy look. It is like you are applying
highlighter if you do not apply any loose powder to retouch. The good thing is
your face won’t look dull for a long time. Well, it depends on what the
supporting products you wear on your face such as makeup base/primer, face mist
or moisturizer.
Alright, so here is the pros:
- Matte and silky finishing result (then changing into dewy result)
- Light to medium coverage
- Good oil control
- Contains a large amount of product
- A little thick but light texture
- Blendable BB Cream
- SPF 30
The cons:
- Kinda pricey but affordable
- Not travel friendly
Possibilily to repurchase: YES!
Etude House Precious Mineral Cotton Fit BB Cream may be
suitable for a person who:
- Looks for a product with a great amount
- Has oily/combination and yellow-toned skin
- Does activities outdoor
Etude House Precious Mineral Cotton Fit BB Cream may be
suitable for a person who:
- Has dry skin
- Has pink-toned skin
If you are looking this lovely BB Cream, now it is available
on my store Yuritopia (shipped in Indonesia only)! The price is under IDR 300,000 unless you buy it at the
official counter. Teehee~ The stock is fresh and limited so don’t miss it O.O
Must-read note:
I would like to say that the SPF is too high because a
beauty product which contains SPF 30 has a sunray filtration which is not
better than SPF 15, which can protect your skin at 94%, while SPF 30 actually
only can do it at 97%. Notice the difference? And then, SPF 15 is already good
enough for people who have indoor activity such as going to school, hanging
out, working in the office etc. On the contrary, SPF 30 can be useful for people
who do many things outdoor like swimming.
Even though Etude Cotton Fit is formulated with no paraben,
it doesn’t mean that it is safe at all. The free-paraben products are actually
not better than those which have parabens in it, because in fact, paraben is
the gentlest preservatives used in personal-care products.
looks like it has quite a good coverage! :)
