Tips Kuliah Kelas Malam (Back to School Lifehacks)

Hallooooooo,  Darklings,  my black roses,  what's up? :D
*sok gaul pffft*
Monggo di-scroll!

Yak, stop dulu, belajar sama si aa.. *ditabok*

1. Music

Source: here
*menunggu kelas dimulai
*ingin/gak ingin belajar dan gak mau diganggu (saya banget)
*motivasi diri sebelum belajar

Menyanyi gak dilarang kok. Tapi please, yang bagus, biar ga ditimpuk. X'D
Apa? Saya? Saya mah sukanya Symphonic Rock dan Metalalalalaaaal.

2. Prepare everything before sleep

Beberes dulu biar tenang...

Saya pun kadang khilaf.

3. Set alarm (with a glass, and) with music that will surprise you
http://l7.alamy.com/zooms/65fcf8f76ce54511a71659e582508b9a/gothic-dressed-teenager-holding-a-very-noisy-alarm-clock-baad7m.jpg
Source: here

Kamu (terpaksa) begadang sampai kamu tertidur. Saking pulasnya, alarm hp disamping bantal tidak mampu membangunkanmu. Itu artinya kamu..... Kebo.
Hehehe..

4. Bring hair tie in case you need to tie your hair, wear it like bracelet

Source: here

5. Motivate yourself
Hanya kamu yang kenal dirimu. Carilah cara untuk membuatmu tetap semangat kuliah sepulang kerja.

Deco your supplies

Goth up your supplies! Source: here

Switch up your surrounding
source: here

6. Screen saver for schedule, memo
source: here

7. Make check list to do / list to remember
Make your list. Source: here

Be organized! Saya sempat mengalaminya. X'D

8. Use post it note or solatip to lift dust on notebook keyboard
Source: here

9. Place your snacks on your text book after some paragraphs

DIY study snacks by LaurDIY
Tahan dulu rasa ingin mengunyah. Baca 2-3 halaman buku atau 5-10 paragraf, pahami terlebih dahulu, barulah ambil sedikit demi sedikit makanan. Cemilan habis, belum selesai belajar? Cemilanlah yang bertanggung jawab atas kenaikan berat badanmu. X'D

10. Solve your problem of memorizing

Field Trip at The National Museum of Indonesia (Museum Nasional)

About two weeks ago I was on a field trip in an archaeology museum named The National Museum of Indonesia (Museum Nasional). The other name of it is Elephant Building (Museum Gajah), although it's not an everything-about-elephant museum. It is because of the elephant statue in its forecourt, which was given by King of Siam from Thailand. You may find further information on Wikipedia.

All of the students are divided into small groups and each group was accompanied by a tour guide. She is a member of Indonesia Heritage Society, Sara Moriarty. She led us during the trip to show some pieces of Indonesia's history. Indonesians are taught with English native speaker tour guide? I didn't mean to say anything bad but this was actually an ironic condition lol. But hey, don't get it wrong. The purpose was to encourage us speaking English for more empowering our skill, since we are English students. It was a fun moment you want to go back again.

That day was the first time I visited National Museum. I could see every things from the pre-history to the gold era. If only I had more spare time, I'd like to come again. Besides, there was also a National Library which was my favorite spot to study in high school time. I just realized the building is near the museum! xD

Spacious room for gathering before trip.

I thank Sara Moriarty for the guidance!

Outing Class at Museum Purna Bhakti Pertiwi

Ahoy~!

I have been busy lately for college. The assignments were on my top priority, rather than arranging financial statement at office when it’s actually too late to be done and managing my online store. You know la, this has priority over that and that can be done sometime instead of this.. XD Once I ever tried to write every things I should have done long time ago randomly and BAM! There is too much I have missed and forgotten! Therefore, I’m trying to do the time-and-motion-study to get in the right way.

Just entering mid semester and I’m going to face some exams. Padahal waktu pertama masuk kelas, saya pikir masih lama waktunya. And I was still be able to trifle with it. Sekarang saya tau bagaimana rasanya baru kuliah sambil kerja. Rempong ya bo.. (Eh, repot maksudnya :P) But I didn’t mean to ignore at all since it has been my consequence of various priority activities.

Okeh, enough blabberingnya~ Jadi begini ceritanya.. I had an outing class before mid-test 3 days ago. Not all my classmates were there because we had to gather at college at 7 o’clock and some of them weren’t allowed to go out at work days so yeah ~_~

We went to Purna Bhakti Pertiwi Museum by bus. That day was really a scorcher and the sunbeam hurt my skin ._. Purna Bhakti Pertiwi Museum is a history museum with modern building about the life of Soeharto, Indonesia’s former second president. It was built on the initiative of Madame Tien Soeharto, the wife of Soeharto. On August 23 1993, it was inaugurated by former president Soeharto. It is designed like the shape of tumpeng, a traditional Javanese cone-shaped rice, symbol of gratitude.

Purna Bhakti Pertiwi Museum is very large, consists of 13.000 collections spread in Struggle Hall, Main Hall, Special Hall, Arthabrata Hall and Library. It also has the second floor which displays another historical artwork collection.  I couldn’t explore all of the parts since the museum is huge and I may get lost and I have my own plate to do an observation task. The students are divided into groups and I was in the 12th group. I met new friends from the morning class which most of them were younger than me, I think. Our task was to observe the Batik collection. It is located on the second floor which there was also another kinds of fabric for Kimono from Japan, Hanbok from Korea, Tenun from Indonesia and so on. During the observation, I just knew there were many kinds of Batik. They come from many regions and they are made with meaningful motives. We're not allowed to take many pictures of artworks so i had to do the snapshots silently :3

Batik Madura with  Coast Elements Motive and Brave Colors
I love the Red Prawns motive!

Batik Surakarta (Solo) Kain Panjang multi-function
It can be used as a blanket, to carry a young child or any object, as swaddling cloth and hammock to lull a baby to sleep

Batik Surakarta (Solo) with Various Motives and Brown Color

Batik Besurek From Bengkulu with Arabic Caligraphy Motive

Another collection of Batik kept in woody wardrobe
After observed, we had to answer the questions we were given before and made it as a speech that someone from our group would do it. The best speaker would like to receive any prize! Unfortunately, we didn’t make it XD Bu it wasn’t a matter since we have worked together (and talked a lot) very well. Finally, we finished the class, took some pictures, had lunch together, went back to college, then I went home after bought two lasagnas for IDR 26.000 (yes, promo price!) at Seven Eleven :3

Questions!
Me (the second from left), my classmates and some girl friends from the morning class.
The Crystals Collection!*0* I wish i could keep even just the little blue one lol
Me (left) and all of my classmates after outing class
We didn’t do much that day but it was tiring and fun! I've learnt some of Indonesia's heritage. You must come and see the museum (especially the crystal *_*) Tell me, how was your first outing class?

At College: First Week

Hello!

Last Monday i was officially started studying as an English student at a college in Central Jakarta ^_^ I have followed its academic oriented event and motivation seminar which held on last Sunday at Istora Senayan and it wasn't bad. There were famous motivators. There were also actors and actress who wanted to promote their movie. I didn't remember who were there but Andi--the leading vocal of /RIF band as the main actor and the band came to rock the stage as the ending performance! Unfortunately the sound system wasn't good enough so i left before my ears got bleeding.. =_=

The condition when the event started. I didn't know there would be so many people =_=

Day 1-3 -- i have known some new friends and none of them live very near from my home since i need accompany to go home together. The funny thing was there were only about 7 or 8 men in class! "Who run the world?? GIRLS.." Okay Beyonce said it, not me xP

At the first day, the lecturer haven't given any explanation about material to study but he already gave us assignment to do presentation within class, and students are divided into groups with each subject provided. Geez, is this what college students have to do on the first meeting? Amazing! XD

Day 4-6 -- I have known another new friends. Of course, they are also day workers and none of them live near from my home (╥﹏╥ ) Have known some lecturers too. Thank God they are friendly lol. Unfortunately i still had to study yesterday, ugh..

The system of college is computerized: presence list, college fee payment, e-learning, materials for each lecture subject from lecturer (you must download), lecture schedule, and online EXAM.. but not at all subject. So make sure you don't get poor grade and don't pay the fee late or you will get a long procedure with the system.

And the final thing i love is: FOOD.. hohoho
I found so many minimarkets, fast food restaurants: Seven Eleven, KFC, McDonald, side walk snack sellers.. There is also drugstore.. See? I won't be starving and find medicine easily xD

Overall, it isn't bad to be there. How about your first experience at college?
